Shimmering and Worm’s father ran away when he found out that he was going to be a father. 

One day during a border patrol the apprentice and her group found a loner who joined Riverclan and became Goosepaw. During his trial of joining RC Shimmering spoke out in his defense against Lionstar. Later the two became friends and developed feelings but soon changed when she became a warrior. 

As an apprentice, her training was rough because her first mentor Stoatdance was injured and changed forever. So Lionstar switched her over to Goldencloud. Due to her shy nature, it took her a while to get used to her new mentor. In the end, he helped her become the warrior she is today. 

Before she knew it Shimmering received her first apprentice, Berrypaw!  At first Shimmering thought, her apprentice was sweet and kind but little did she know that it was all a facade. It was a huge shock to the warrior when she found out that Berry threatened a kit. By then they were almost done with her training and Shimmering turned a blind eye. Ever since Berrypaw became Berryscorch the molly left her alone. 

Once again, before she knew it Lionstar gave her another apprentice, Wavepaw. At first, she was cautious around her second apprentice for fear that she would be like Berryscorch. But to her relief, Wavepaw was the opposite, and that brought relief to the molly. What made the warrior trust Wave was when they took a night of fishing and talking.
